MAN Group Conference and Dealer of the Year Awards 2016
To create an event for 200 delegates over 48 hours which required versatile & innovative conference space and a WOW gala dinner, without the need for transportation.
Wembley Park offered the perfect solution for a multi-venue event with extensive branding opportunities. The Cineworld complex within the LDO provided exclusive use of one of their 9 screening rooms for the conference with hi-definition projection, a top quality sound system and the possibility to remove seats for extra presenter space. MAN were able to privatise the Starbucks coffee area for coffee breaks and utilise Las Iguanas, one of the many restaurants at the LDO, for one dinner. Guests walked 2 minutes to their hotel, Hilton London Wembley, for a leisurely turnaround with the gala dinner just 2 minutes walk across the boulevard. On day 2, partners were able to shop with a 10% VIP discount privilege card organised by the LDO and use the hotel spa facilities at their leisure, whilst remaining close to the meeting event which enabled them to take part in the group photo outside the stadium. Wembley’s iconic Stadium provided an ideal setting for a gala dinner celebration and freestyle footballers provided “street” entertainment at the reception with a special backdrop created for couples pictures placing guests with the FA Cup trophy. Dramatic light-ups were used for the walk-way to the Wembley Suite and guests were given a real WOW as they entered the room for the awards ceremony. A centrally raised set was erected with full staging and plasma screens for slides and impactful videos. The awards ceremony ended with multiple entertainers.
Destination Wembley, the single sales resource for its Asset Partners at Wembley Park, sourced venue space for the event initially, finding the right solution for the conference without the need for the client to brief all the venues. With venues in such close proximity to each other, MAN were able to meet their conference and gala awards objectives in a short period of time with no travel organisation between venues.
